When afromermaid skincare was founded, Sybil Bailey’s mission was to make skincare accessible to as many people as possible, from all walks of life. “Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, will be treated with kindness and dignity.” This is the exact passion behind what dives every service.

Meet Sybil Bailey
I am a Knoxville native, I love it here! My passions include books, plants, cats, and skincare. When it comes to entertainment, I love all things scary-books and movies and wholeheartedly believe that vampires are real. I’ve got a pretty green thumb and love trying to keep nature flourishing inside my home.
I’m married to a wonderful man and I have five familiars: Hillard, Clyde, Honeychile, Boots McGillicutty, and Nina Simone. I am passionate about social justice. Black Lives Matter, love is love. & science is real.
Out of school, I initially thought that I would go to work at a local spa, do facials all day go home–repeat, but then I realized that someone could impact my ability to do the best for every guest. I started to think about what it would take to open my own business. It seemed virtually impossible until a few friends, angels really, help make my dream a reality.
